'scuse me while I kiss this guy
Have you ever thought a song lyric said one thing and it was really another? But before you found out your mistake you sang that song at the top of your lungs over and over again? Or like me you could even have named your blog after said mistaken lyrics and then find out you were a complete ding bat. Shoot! There are websites dedicated to mistaken lyrics (see http://www.kissthisguy.com/18misheard.htm ) so clearly it is not just me. I love the song "Say" by John Mayer. Heard it at the gym the morning I decided I wanted to start my very own blog. So when I was trying to decide what my blog name should be I sang in my head, "say what you mean to say, say what you mean to say...." and it sounded like a great title. Today I decided to listen to the song I love, looked it up on youtube and can you believe that it really says, "say what you need to say...". Wow! Ding bat! So I have changed the name of my blog. Have you ever mistaken lyrics?

Reminds me of a "Roseanne" episode where they are talking about Becky singing the Cher song, "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves" - only she sang it like this:
Gypsies, Chimpanzees
We hear it from the people in the town they call us Gypsies, Chimpanzees, and every night the men would come around and lay the monkey down.
Classic!!! LOL!
BTW I liked "Say what you mean to say" as a title to your blog. The title alone is excellent advice.
Are you kidding me? I always mistake the lyrics to songs and it's usually when I'm singing at the top of my lungs. There's a song called "Freeze Frame Time" and I always thought it was "Freeze Same Time" or Freeze this Time" or any other word I thought could belong there until I finally read the title of the song, then it made complete sense to me. Actually, if you can find it, it's a beautiful song by Brandon Ryder off of his album "Conviction."
I can remember being in the car with my dad when I was very young (back in the 70's dontchyaknow) and that song by the Eagles 'Life in the Fast Lane' came on. I loved that song, because to me they were singing "Batman in the Batplane".
Of course im sure there are tons of songs i've gotten wrong in some state of adult dorkishness but i am quite certain i've conveniently forgotten what those were. : )
